Questions and Answers

What does my MRL Events package include?
Every event has very different inclusions especially one's that are custom created for you. Typically they include your hotel stay, round trip bus transfer, exclusive parties, and all associated taxes and fees.

Are meals included in my package?
Each trip has different inclusions. Typically they will include one meal, but it all depends on which event.

Are there any additional fees when I get there?
Hotel Fees/Security Deposits: Most hotels charge a refundable damage/security deposit that is collected at check in and returned if there is no damage to your room. In most cases, this is handled at the time of check in with a credit card. This will range from $50 to $100 per person.

Gratuities?
Tips are not included in any of the packages where gratuities apply. Tips are accepted and greatly appreciated by any of the people whom service you.

What if I will not be 18 years old during my trip?
You MUST be 18 years of age to travel or attend any of our events.

When do I receive confirmations and travel documents?
You can print your travel documents as soon as they're ready by accessing your account on MRL Events.com. If you've given us your email address, we'll send you e-mail notifications with links to print out invoices, confirmations, travel documents, and all other correspondence. We'll send you an email when your documents are ready, usually no later than 5-10 days before your trip. If you do not provide us with a valid e-mail address, you are responsible for retrieving your travel documents, invoices, and correspondence by accessing your account on our website. If you don't have your login info, just give us a call!

Do I need spending money, if so how much?
Every destination has different standards and every person has a different budget. Some travelers can get by on $200 while others need much more.

Does MRL Events.com have onsite staff members?
MRL has at least 1 experienced and trained staff member on every single bus transfer to and from your destination (Special Events Only). For Custom Bookings, unless you request and pay for a staff member to attend your event, there are no staff members. Bus transfers while at a location may vary. We also have an emergency contact number on your event wristband should you need us for ANYTHING while on your trip. We also view our travelers as responsible adults. In addition, for Special Events, staff will provide all travelers with an orientation upon arrival. We'll tell you what to do in case of emergency, how to find our staff and other important information to ensure your maximum safety and fun.

Is my Fraternity or Sorority liable for anything?
NO! Although your trip might have been planned through the Fraternity or Sorority, the trip was not formally endorsed by that source. All monies, booking, and communication are handled through a third party vendor, MRL Events.com. Students are also asked to sign off on our terms and conditions of the trip before depositing, which further alleviates the chapter name from affiliation with the trip. Fraternity/Sorority/Group Custom Event Bookings - group is liable for cancellations 60 days prior to event.

Who are my Roommates?
You are responsible for finding your own roommates. Final rooming lists are usually done 7-10 days prior to the event.

 

What about Transfers, Changes and Cancellations?

Transfers/Traveler Name Change:
Travelers may transfer an active reservation to another person as long as it's within 15 days prior to the event. A $15 transfer fee will be applied and the person taking over your trip is responsible for paying you. You will still be responsible for any balances over $1.00.

Changes:
Changes are easy as long as our vendors can accommodate the request. We can't make any guarantees, but we do promise to make every effort on your behalf. Please keep in mind that a $15 fee applies in certain cases. Adding a roommate is not considered a change.

Cancellations:
Once your place has been confirmed, you must submit your cancellation in writing. ALL Reservations are non-refundable. Also, since hotel rooms are rented by occupancy, if you do cancel your trip, your roommates will need to make up the difference of your fee or find someone to take that spot.
